That was Anne Curtis’ mantra up to this day: to always believe in the power of your dreams. And as we all know, one of Anne’s biggest dreams is to stage a concert at the Araneta Coliseum. Of course, we all watched her dream turn into reality through her Annebisyosa: No Other Concert.

In this concert, Anne showed why she is loved by many: her down-to-earth and fun personality mesmerized everyone at the venue throughout the show. She even performed alongside the brightest stars in the business as well like Vice Ganda, Sam Milby, and Sarah Geronimo.

No one could forget her duet with Sarah of the all-time favorite “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith. Anne has been vocal ever since that she is a fan of the popstar, and that the pleasure is always hers whenever she performs with Sarah.

In a recent event for an endorsement, Anne revealed that there even is a Facebook fanpage for her underarms. She went on that it all started during the intro song on Showtime. She was in sleeveless, so whenever she claps and raises her hands, her armpits get exposed.

But what is Anne Curtis’ secret in having and maintaining these sexy underarms? That is the question that many have been asking for long now.

Anne Curtis have been in the industry for more than 14 years already, so she must have known the secret on how to deal with negative vibes thrown her way, especially now that she is the most followed celebrity both on Twitter and Instagram.  Her secret? The art of deadma.

More often than not, Anne chooses to be oblivious to such hate tweets or comments she gets from these social networking sites.  Anne said that she got the art of deadma from her father.  He told her, “These people, ginagawa nila ‘yan for 5 minutes of fame, and it’s up to you if you’re gonna give it to them. So huwag na lang, deadma na lang. Learn the art of deadma.” And mastered it she did.

However, there is one exception to Anne’s rules in the art of deadma. “I don’t mind if it’s about me,” Anne explained, “Ayoko lang talaga kasi if tungkol sa family ko. Medyo pumapatol talaga ako nang very light and charming lang, lalo na when it’s medyo below the belt.”

Anne also believes that you open a part of yourself to the public when you open a Twitter or Instagram account. That was why she thinks that whatever comes, it cannot be avoided. Still, you can do something about it.  “You just have to learn to block, delete, report abuse, all of these things,” said Anne knowingly.

Anne Curtis admitted that she had been offered to endorse political candidates for this coming elections, being the most followed Filipino celebrity on both social networking sites Twitter and Instagram. The move was timely and was very strategic for any candidate to choose one of the most popular and admired celebrities in the business. Anne, though, firmly believes that the personalities should not define the elections.

So Anne declined those offers for her to back those poll bets who saw her as a very valuable asset this elections. Anne has long been since one of the top celebrity product endorsers in the country, but she stands firm on letting this “endorsement” pass.

When it comes to causes, however, she said that she would do it, in contrast to being identified with a political candidate. “I think I’ll only do it if I believe in what they stand for, like if it was someone who’s very firm with their women’s rights or something I believe in. I don’t have to be out there in their posters. I can do it in my own way,” Anne stated.

Anne Curtis is a self-confessed beach baby. She just enjoys spending time at the beaches, tanning, swimming, and basically almost any activity at the beach and under the sun. As someone who really gives importance to her healthy beauty regimen, Anne shared some of her beauty tips this summer.

First off, Anne said that “If you look good, you feel good. And I think that’s very important because it gives you that confidence that you need.” As a result, this confidence, as they say, will take you to far places.

Aside from going to the beaches, Anne also loves to attend music festivals. In this heat though, where the temperature even sometimes surpass that of a normal human being’s, it is just unavoidable to ask Anne how she takes care of her skin. Her basic advice is to use a face cream that has SPF and a spot corrector ingredient. This will give protection to yoru skin even as you go under the sun for quite some time. Drinking lots of water will also help you hydrated throughout the day.

“Hindi pa naman siya nagpo-propose. So I dare him.”

That was what Anne Curtis announced during a press conference when asked when she and boyfriend Erwan Heussaff would settle down. She added though that Erwan is the one to be asked regarding the subject. “The ball isn’t in my court. Nasa lalaki yan,” Anne said.

The two have been in a relationship for quite a few years now, so it is really unavoidable for them to get the receiving end of such questions. Still, Anne and Erwan’s privacy is to be considered.

As far as tying the knot is concerned, all we know is that the couple is very happy with each other. As Anne said, “If I feel that it’s the right time and he’s the right person, any moment then, why not?”

Anne also said nevertheless, “[Erwan and I] both have dreams, personal dreams, that we want to pursue so, hindi pa.”

They said timing is everything, and for sure, Anne and Erwan both know when would the right time to settle down be.

As much as her name seem to perfectly fit the “teacher” title, Anne Curtis recently revealed that she has wanted to become a preschool teacher for the longest time.

During a press conference, Anne shared that she really has a soft spot for children. And now that she was able to enroll in an open university in Australia, she believes that she is making the first few steps to reaching this dream.

“I’m very very happy that I was able to enroll. Right now, I did English Literature. So Great Books is one of the first units under Griffith University. In the next semester, I’d be doing early education. So Bachelor in Education,” Anne happily disclosed her academic life.

And though she added that she already knew that it will take her a long time, maybe even more than four years, to finish the course, she said that she would want to do it.

“But that’s the whole point na they encourage you to continue, na i-pursue ‘yung studies mo kahit na in the long run, kahit ilang units lang ang kukunin mo. ‘Yung Englist Literature nga, I’m just very lucky na kahit na mag-switch ako, parang sabi nila, it’s still an elective.”

With a smile on her face, Anne firmly said, “Isa ‘yan sa mga pinapangarap ko: maka-graduate ng college.”

In Anne’s own words, “You have to want it and pursue it. That’s why I say I’m a pursuer of dreams.” And we believe in you!

After shooting for Blood Ransom, the Hollywood film set to be released this year (2013), another opportunity to be cast, this time in a US TV series, seemed to be positive to go up on Anne Curtis’ sleeve.

Recently, Publicity Asia’s head Joyce Ramirez asked Hollywood producer Bryan Fuller to cast Anne for a cameo on his newest TV series, AXN’s Hannibal, in a tweet. Bryan Fuller immediately replied, saying that he would love to and even praised Anne!

Hannibal is a thriller series which just started airing on NBC in the United States this April 4th. It stars Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen and Laurence Fishburne, whom Anne will be able to work with IF she gets this big shot at a US series.

Some say pink is the color of universal love. The deeper the pink, the more passion and energy it exhibits. Well, Anne sure looks like a person who gives out passion and energy to things she does. And this summer, her new hair color might just be the perfect representation of who she really is, not just during this season, but in general as well.

Studies have confirmed that exposure to large amounts of pink can have a calming effect in people. Anne chose to have her hair styled into an ombre with a hot pink color on the ends. Hot pink, which exudes warmth and happiness, just seems to be a liberating color for Anne and fit her bright personality just fine. Moreover, it emphasized the fact that Anne can sport any color in any hairstyle.
