Argentina’s New Familia

Three young women are dominating the entertainment and fashion scenes today. These tres marias have a lot in common – all strikingly gorgeous, smart and well-travelled. But more than that, these irresistible stars, who have lived or studied abroad at some point in their lives, also share a passion for comfort food that makes them feel at home.

Filipino foods have that distinct taste which sparks up the Pinoy spirit in us. As self-confessed Pinoy food addicts, Anne Curtis, Solenn Heusaff and Georgina Wilsom share their favorite delish – Argentina Corned Beef. Togethey, they form Familia Argentina, TV’s most lovable family.

Having grown up in Australia, Anne shared, “I always miss the typical Pinoy breakfast. Argentina Corned Beef is the kind of thing I get home sick for, and it’s the first thing my sister and I ask for when we come home.”

She considers Argentina Corned Beef as her comfort food. “I love eating corned beef because it’s like your comfort food, especially on rainy days when you have that perfect warm sticky rice with corned beef. I like putting all kinds of stuff like eggs, potatoes, and onions.”

Half-French, half-Filipina Solenn is proud of her Pinoy roots confessing, “The Filipino breakfast is my favorite comfort food. When I was abroad in France, I didn’t really know how to cook and I miss home-cooked food. So if you opened my cupboard there’s just pasta and Argentina Corned Beef all the time.”

Half-British Georgina, who grew up in England and studied in Australia, has always considered the Philippines as her home. Like Anne and Solenn, Georgina always had Argentina Corned Beef on her palate. “When I studied in Australia, I would always bring Argentina Corned Beef to remind me of home.”

The girls are making their own in the industry but they are really good friends on and off-camera. The world is a witness of their clique as they dominate the Twitter world. The trio are constantly updating each other through Twitter. Every now and then, they would post photos of their crazy adventures or sweet bonding moments.

Making the Argentina TVC is a dream come true for them. “It was like a regular day of hanging out for the three of us. The set was so comfortable and homey that it was very easy just to be ourselves,” said Solenn. The powerhouse cast is joined by a fourth member “Sam”, who is welcomed into the Familia Argentina.

Close friends behind the camera, these girls don’t only share stunning looks and thriving careers but they are also passionate about their Filipino roots especially when it comes to food that brings the goodness of home. Because there really is no place like home, friends like Anne, Solenn and Georgina find the happiness of home in Argentina Corned Beef wherever they are in the world.
