‘A’ for Anne Curtis
2012 is just starting to unfold but it seems that ‘year of the Anne Curtis’ is extended. True to her title Princess of All Media, Anne dominated different media platforms last year.
She was dubbed as the newest Blockbuster Queen for the movie No Other Woman, a Platinum Recording Artist for her Annebisyosa Album, a certified TV host on ABS-CBN’s Showtime and a top endorser of different brands.
As she welcomed the New Year, Anne Curtis inspired millions of non-singers with the mantra ‘Dreams do come true.’ Last January 28, she staged her first ever major solo concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Few days after, ABS-CBN announced that Anne, together with Kris Aquino and Robin Padilla, is part of the upcoming primetime TV show Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw.
No one could ever forget Anne’s daring role in the movie No Other Woman. Hence, she is a nominated as Movie Actress of the Year in the 28th PMPC Star Awards for Movies, which will be held on March 18.
These achievements are just appetizers. More awards and recognitions are rolling up for the Princess of All Media. This month of March, Anne ranked number one in two prestigious showbiz lists. Seeing Anne Curtis’s name on top of the Hottest Women list (by Philippine Daily Inquirer) or Best-Dressed list (by Yes! Magazine) is no surprise.
“Anne Curtis” is always the answer to the question, ‘Who’s the best female celebrity today?’ She’s the IT girl of today’s generation and no one can ever deny it.
Everyone loves and adores her. But of course, there are still few haters who pop up once in a while. Nevertheless, Anne has learned to ignore them through her so-called ‘art of deadma.’
“One of the good things nowadays, parang wala na masyadong naghe-hate. So that makes me happy. Every now and then, there will pop up, one hater or two haters. And matagal ko ng inaral yung ‘the art of deadma.’ Kaya nga ang advice ko kay Jasmine, sa mga friends ko, learn the art of deadma. Sila lang mapipikon dahil dine-deadma mo lang.”
As gratitude to her overflowing success, Anne lives by the saying ‘pay it forward.’ “I’ll also make it a year to pay it forward because nga of the success of last year. So, all the more this year. All the more it’s pushing me to really pay it forward, to help out. Siyempre kapag blessed ka, you should also share the blessings.”
There is nothing she can ask for anymore but for things to stay the way they are. This is her life and she has no plans to leave showbiz anytime soon. “I’ll keep on doing what I love for as long as I can.”
